Not a lot of movement on a 4x5 format, but very good quality. It is quite capable on digital as well. Using the Hasselblad CFV 100C, I've compared it against my Apo-Digitar 100n which was designed for digital sensors. The Apo-Symmar is very close in sharpness, so close that at infinity I do not think you would be able to see the difference unless you look at them side by side. The benefit of the Apo-Digitar is that it performs noticeably better at close distances. The benefit of the Apo-Symmar is that it has a much larger image circle. The contrast is naturally lower than modern lenses, which can be easily enhanced in post-processing if desired. Because of the large image circle you may need to mitigate flare. Originally, I used this lens with the standard Rm3di extension tubes and had to line them with flocking material to remove flare.
